Community Involvement


In the Rites of Passage Ranch Long Term Care Program, residents will learn how to re-enter the community. This is an essential part of our program to learn how to cope with the real world. During their stay some residents will work full or part time jobs. There are opportunities for community events, yard work, service jobs and much more. Other residents do volunteer work such as working at the food bank, tutoring, or sharing their stories with local residents.

We work with each resident to find work or volunteer interests that appeal to them as an individual. We have established some community relations for these opportunities but encourage each resident to follow their own interests and we help support them in that endeavor.

There are four phases to the program:

Rites of Passage NW Wilderness Therapy provides expedition-based wilderness therapy programs for troubled adults, youth, teens and children who are struggling with a wide array of disorders and behavioral concerns. These wilderness therapy and long term care programs are designed to treat children, young adults and adults over 30 with issues such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder - ODD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, mood disorders, substance abuse, drug abuse, obesity health and wellness, etc. Rites of Passage offers camps for troubled youth, programs for troubled young adults, long term drug treatment programs, long term drug addiction programs, long term alcohol rehab treatment center, summer weight loss camp for teens, weight loss camp for teens, weight loss programs for kids, wilderness therapy, wilderness therapy programs, and more. We are proud to have helped people from all over the United States and internationally including California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Europe and Canada.
