Wilderness Therapy Treatment for Drugs and Substance Abuse in North America – USA

It can be very heartbreaking for a parent to watch their child go through hard times.  When it comes to the use and abuse of drugs and alcohol, parents may not know how to help, and may not know where to turn for help. Many parents will seek out weekly therapy appointments or school guidance counselors, but this is not always a good fit for all troubled teens. Some teens need a long-term program, to help gain the life skills needed to live a life free of drugs and alcohol. Here at Rites of Passage NW, we offer wilderness therapy treatment for drugs and substance abuse in North America – USA to help get kids off of drugs and stay off of drugs.

Wilderness Therapy Treatment for Drugs and Substance Abuse in North America - USA

We offer a very unique experience here at Rites of Passage NW. Not only do our teens participate in conventional therapies such as group and individual therapy, they also have the chance to take part in our special therapies, such as rites of passage therapy, equine therapy, and wilderness therapy. Teens will learn camping skills and survival skills while in our program, and will also go on hiking and adventure treks through the Olympic Mountains.

Rites of Passage NW is also a working ranch, and teens are expected to participate with the daily chores and the running of the ranch. This includes farming, gardening, and cultivating, in addition to cooking and cleaning. Teens will also learn how to take care of the many animals on the ranch. Teens in the later phases of our program are expected to either gain employment, volunteer in our community, or attend school.
