Here at Rites of Passage NW, we do feature conventional therapies such as individual and group therapy. We focus mainly on cognitive behavioral therapy, which replaces old habits with new ones, and old ways of thinking with new ones. For teens with deeper issues, we offer dialectical behavioral therapy. This may work well for teens with drugs and alcohol problems, or borderline personality disorder.

As part of our program, we also offer unique experiences such as equine therapy, rites of passage therapy, and wilderness therapy. Teens will take part in journal writing and introspection. With no cell phone or Internet allowed here, teens can really get back to basics.

Rites of Passage NW is also a working ranch, and our teens will learn how to farm and garden, as well as taking care of the animals on our ranch. We also cook our meals from food grown on our farm.
