Wilderness Therapy for Substance Juvenile Delinquents in the NW

Wilderness Therapy for Substance Juvenile Delinquents in the NW

It is never easy for parents to watch their kids go through hard times. Problem is, many parents may sit back and feel helpless, unsure of how to help their kids properly. For some teens that have gotten involved with drugs and alcohol, weekly therapy or the guidance counselors at school can be a big help. Other teens need a more serious intervention, especially if drugs and alcohol has gotten them involved with legal troubles. Here at Rites of Passage NW, we offer wilderness therapy for substance juvenile delinquents in the NW, that not only helps teens recover, but helps them stay off of alcohol and drugs long after discharge from our program.

We are an accredited, conventional rehabilitation facility that incorporates nature and wilderness training into our programs. In addition to conventional therapy such as individual and group therapy, teens also have the unique experiences of equine therapy, wilderness therapy, rites of passage therapy, among others. As a fully working ranch, here at Rites of Passage teens will also learn how to garden and farm, as well as taking care of the many animals here at the facility.

Our teens are also expected to volunteer in the community during their stay, find gainful employment, or attend online classes. Our schedule is rigid, early to bed and early to rise, and no Internet or cell phone usage is allowed here. Introspection and nature are vital to recovery, and teens must commit to the program and 12-step meetings.
