Wilderness Therapy for Substance Juvenile Delinquents in Seattle

Wilderness Therapy for Substance Juvenile Delinquents in Seattle

Teenagers can be under a lot of stress, and sometimes under all of that stress, they buckle. Many teens turn to alcohol and drugs because they simply do not have the coping skills necessary to deal with stress in a healthy manner. Unfortunately, turning to alcohol and drugs becomes a problem for many teens, and can even get them in trouble with the law. Parents may be at their wits’ end, not knowing where to turn. For serious cases, weekly therapy sessions have a tendency to fail. Here at Rites of Passage NW, we have wilderness therapy for substance juvenile delinquents that can help get troubled teens back on the road to recovery.

What exactly is wilderness therapy? Rites of Passage NW is a fully accredited rehabilitation facility with a special twist. We do feature conventional therapies here at our facility, such as group and individual therapy, but we also have our teens participate in wilderness therapy, rites of passage therapy, hiking, and trekking.

As a fully functional ranch, our teens will also learn how to garden and farm, and to take care of the many animals here at Rites of Passage NW. Teens are also expected to participate in volunteer activities within our community, as well as work and/or online school. Rites of Passage NW is early to bed and early to rise, with no Internet or cell phone use allowed at any time.

Nature is an incredible way to learn introspection and to get back to basics, while teens learn how to live a sober and fulfilling life.
