When you are planning to enter into a long term drug treatment center in Washington State, you need to make sure that you have everything that you need. Rehabilitation centers have strict policies in regards to the items that you can bring along with you when you enter for treatment. Most facilities will give participants a checklist that will help with packing and going over any items that are prohibited.

Recommended Items To Bring

Each rehabilitation facility will have different policies when it comes to the items that are advised to bring. The following are some of the things to consider:

Prescription Medications - This will have to be current prescription medications only in the original bottle that has all of the information intact on the label. If you have liquid medicines, it will have to be brand-new and sealed.  You should also supply a list of medications that you are taking along with the dosage.

Journal or Notebook - Good for jotting down thoughts and goals.

Envelopes and Stamps - Just in case you would like to write letters to loved ones.

Address Book - This should have any names, addresses and contact numbers for anyone that you would like to have involved in your course of treatment, including your loved ones, your sponsors, healthcare professionals, etc.

Pictures - Having pictures of loved ones, pets, and family can be kept in your room, in your wallet, or your journal.

Clothing - This will include shirts, pants, shorts, undergarments, pajamas, socks, bathing suit, robe, hat, shoes (including those for hiking and outdoor activities), and more.

Toiletries - Some may be provided at the rehab center, but you will want to bring your toothbrush, hairbrush, comb, any other items you need.
