Long Term Care Program in Washington

Long Term Care Program in Washington

It can be heartbreaking for a parent to watch their son or daughter go through significant struggles. When it comes to problems such as substance abuse and drug and alcohol problems, parents may feel helpless and like they have no place to turn to. School counselors can be extremely busy, and weekly therapy isn’t always a good fit for a teenager who is really experiencing significant problems. Here at Rites of Passage NW, our long term care program in Washington is effective for the treatment of many troubled teens so they can get back to a happy, fulfilled normal life.

Long Term Care Program in Washington

Here at our residential programs, our students experience both individual and group therapy, but also experience different types of therapies not considered “conventional.” Here at Rites of Passage NW, therapies such as wilderness therapy, rites of passage therapy, and equine therapy are integrated with regular therapy. We have found this combination to be extremely helpful when dealing with teens in the throes of substance abuse.

Also, during long term treatment, teens will volunteer in the community, learn how to gain employment, and learn how to be part of a team. We work on social and interpersonal skills so that troubled teens can better function in society after the program is over.

Think of all the stress that an adult has to endure. Teenagers go through that same stress, but without the coping mechanisms and life experiences that adults have. Here at Rites of Passage NW, we help teens rediscover their worth.
