Long Term Care Program in North America – USA

Long Term Care Program in North America – USA

It is never easy for a parent when their child experiences problems. Sometimes, children and teenagers experience problems, and get through them. Other times, the answer may not be so simple. Parents can often feel helpless when their teen experiences problems with substance abuse, or is experimenting with drugs or alcohol. Guidance counselors and school officials may try to help, or a parent may try weekly therapy, but either choice is not always the perfect fit for every teenager. Here at Rites of Passage NW, we have a long term care program in North America – USA that we have found to be quite successful in the substance abuse treatment of troubled teens.

Long Term Care Program in North America - USA

In our long-term care program teenagers will learn responsibility and accountability. They will learn how to be part of a team, will volunteer in our local community, and will learn how to find and keep employment, readying them to be an adult. We combine individual and group therapy with more unconventional therapies, such as equine therapy, rites of passage therapy, and wilderness therapy. By becoming more aware of nature, we have found that teens can often rediscover themselves and their worth.

Teenagers can be under an awful lot of stress, and they simply do not have the coping mechanisms and strategies that adults have, with years of life experience. Here at Rites of Passage NW, we like to put more tools in their toolbox.
